Our source standard
For account, identity, payment, fee, and feature rules, we use the relevant platform's official help center, safety center, service terms, or government guidance as the primary source. Each guide links to the sources used for its important claims. Third-party reports may help identify common questions, but they do not establish platform rules.
- Primary sources: official platform help centers, safety centers, service terms, payment documentation, and government guidance.
- Supporting sources: official card-network, mobile-carrier, airport, or transport information where a platform source does not cover the question.
- Discovery sources: reputable third-party reports may reveal a user problem but are not used to prove a platform rule.
How we write recommendations
- We distinguish a documented platform rule from a practical troubleshooting suggestion.
- We state when an in-app result, account state, region, or card issuer makes the final decision.
- We do not promise successful registration, verification, payment approval, or support outcomes.
- We do not publish instructions for bypassing security checks or using paid verification services.
Review and updates
Every guide displays the responsible editorial team, its first publication date, and its latest source-review date. Publication dates are taken from the first production commit for that article. A review date changes only after the cited official sources and material guidance are checked; layout-only changes do not reset it. We review pages when an official source changes, when a reader reports a material problem, or when a guide is scheduled for a routine refresh. If a rule cannot be confirmed in a current official source, we remove the claim or label it as a general troubleshooting suggestion.
Corrections and scope
These guides are informational and are not official support from WeChat, Alipay, a bank, or a mobile carrier. For an account-specific decision, use the app's support flow or the official provider's help center. To report an error, open a GitHub issue with the page URL, the exact claim, and an official source where possible. We assess material corrections against the source standard, update the article and review date when needed, and record the change in the issue.
